We Make Operations Fun

Our coaching style is simply detailed, memorable and fun!

One of our Givefly clients is an HVAC company. Years ago they tried to scale without a business operating system, just grinding and hard work and it was a disaster. They had to let a bunch of people go, client satisfaction went down and it just wasn’t working. This time around they built some simple manuals and checklists using google docs, but wanted to take it up quite a few notches and go TechSmall with Giverfly!

In the picture above as part of building their Business Operating System we start off with a kick off party getting the owner and his team in an operations mindset. To make it more fun and memorable one of the exercises we did was to write the operational code, as if they are computer coders, for the checklist How To Make a Sandwich. Then one of our team members acted out that checklist, failed miserably and we taught important checklist lessons along the way! Like a checklist line item should be one action item not two, as the second one is often looked over and not done. This is an example of “blame the process, not the person” when something goes wrong. :)

Meet two of our Giverflies, Stephen Beatty and Jared Montz. Stephen and Jared are a good time if ya can’t tell!

Stephen is an operations genius. Using the Giverfly OS he took his dad's car repair shop from 200k and no system to 1m and a system that flows without him. His dad use to think he’d never be able to stop working. Now he travels often and the shop is successful without him.
